{"id":6874071,"uuid":"9c6eb3d5-e080-4c88-abaa-5b1410f99fb2","name":"The Deep | Jigsaw","description":"<p><strong>This 1000 piece jigsaw is made with 100% recycled cardboard.<\/strong><\/p><p><\/p><p><strong>'A WORD FROM THE ARTIST'<\/strong><\/p><p>\u2018The Deep\u2019 is already a Heavy Web favourite and one of our treasured original designs.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>I had been sharing with my kid\u2019s the story of the Kracken, a mythical giant cephalopod sea monster originating from Scandinavian folklore, and it must have inspired me because the following day I allowed my imagination to run wild.<\/p><p>The design is based on a giant octopus, a playful take on a real-life creature from the deep.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>It was great fun creating the flowing lines of the legs and finding movement in the body.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>Pencil sketches were drawn (and redrawn) until I was happy with the design, the final artwork was highlighted in fine liner pen and then digitally traced - and this is where the real fun started.<\/p><p>I wanted to create a statement, an uplifting piece of art, but also a stylish design that would look equally as good as a wall print or on the back of t shirt.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>I chose yellows, blues, pinks and purples to colour the image, and I am really pleased with the final design.<span>\u00a0 <\/span>As a piece of pop art \u2018The Deep\u2019 is instantly recognisable as it\u2019s intended sea monster, but the flowing lines also make a colourful abstract image that is sure to make a statement.<\/p><p>I love to wear this piece as an everyday t shirt, the hoodie looks great as a cover up by the British seaside and the jumper looked at home worn at festivals in the summer.<\/p><p><span>\ud83c\udd77\ud83c\udd86<\/span><\/p><p><strong>The good stuff:<\/strong> When it gets toward the end of its lifetime, you can send it back to us to be recycled and we'll give you store credit.<\/p><p><strong>Free UK shipping available on all orders over \u00a350.
